Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the stewarding team in daily cleaning tasks and upkeep of kitchen and dining areas.

  • Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.

  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment and place orders as needed.

  • Train, develop, and motivate stewarding staff to ensure high performance.

  • Maintain records of cleaning schedules and reports, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Coordinate with kitchen and food and beverage departments to support daily operational needs.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and sanitation standards.

  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints regarding cleanliness and service promptly and professionally.

Job requirements

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role in stewarding or a related field within a luxury hotel or restaurant environment.

  • Strong knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in the foodservice industry.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

  • A positive, proactive attitude and attention to detail.
