Job description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef – Pastry to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Executive Pastry Chef in creating, preparing, and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, and bakery items that meet our luxury standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in managing the pastry section, ensuring consistency, quality, and creativity in all products.
Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, bread, and confections according to the hotel’s standards.
Supervise and mentor pastry team members, providing guidance, training, and support.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Collaborate with other culinary teams to develop new dessert concepts and seasonal menus.
Monitor inventory, control costs, and maintain equipment and supplies in optimal condition.
Participate in special events, banquets, and high-profile functions as required.
Job requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Culinary degree or diploma with specialization in pastry or baking.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining pastry kitchen.
Strong knowledge of classic and modern pastry techniques.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
