Job description

We are looking for a Government Relations/Public Relations Officer (PRO) in Dubai. 

The Public Relations Officer will play a key role in managing the Visa & Immigration Services, License & Permits renewable, Government relations, and external communications, with extensive knowledge of local regulations and procedures.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Government Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for government authorities and regulatory bodies in the UAE. Establish and maintain strong relationships to facilitate smooth interactions and compliance with regulations.

• Immigration Systems: Initiate entry permit, change status, visa stamping, cancellation, designation change, and other GDRFA activities related to immigration systems.

• ICP and DHA System: Familiar with medical and Emirates ID procedures.

• License Renewals and Permits: Coordinate the renewal of trade licenses, permits, modifications and other regulatory approvals required for the Company operations. Monitor expiration dates and proactively initiate renewal processes.

• Legal Compliance: Stay updated on changes to local laws, regulations, and government policies that may impact the group's business activities. Provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements.

• Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all PRO-related activities, including visa applications, permits, licenses, and correspondence with government authorities.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments, including HR, legal, and finance, to ensure alignment and coordination on PRO-related matters.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the company's overall reputation and standing in Dubai.

Job requirements

Candidate Profile:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a PRO or in a similar role in UAE in a multinational environment.

• In-depth knowledge of UAE's legal and regulatory environment, including labour laws, immigration procedures, MOHRE Systems, GPSSA, and business licensing requirements.

• Hands-on experience with government portals and online systems for visa and immigration services.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with government officials, employees, and external stakeholders.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Proficiency in Arabic and English languages (written and spoken).

• Valid UAE driving License is a must.
